Airbus unveiled at Aircraft Interiors Expo the first images booths Business Class and Economy of the A350 ,
On the eve of the opening of the Hamburg exhibition dedicated to aircraft interiors , the European manufacturer issued April 7, 2014 a series of photos and computer images showing two classes of cabins A350 XBW , 3 + 3 +3 for Economics and Business 1 +2 +1 . Not yet communicated, but Airbus explained last week that the long-haul jet " will change the way of comfort cab for the next decade." Visitors to the Airbus stand will also discover all the latest developments of the development program of the cabin of the A350 XWB , " which quickly rose through the one hand , development of MSN002 and other to the creation of the Customer Definition Centre A350 ", two innovations presented earlier this week at Finkenwerder , the global center of excellence dedicated to Airbus cabins .
10. Accent Lighting
Airbus is applying the latest technology in energy-efficient LED mood lighting. This enables the cabin ambience to be tailored to each airline’s own identity, as well as creating day and nighttime illumination that helps the body adapt to jetlag on long-range flights. The Airbus innovations also include accent lighting for overhead stowage bins, windows, cabin dividers and in the ceiling, along with the capability to project special effects onto the ceiling.
9. Overhead Storage Space
Airliner ditches the old slam-door style overhead bins for larger swing bins to meet passenger’s needs for additional carry-on luggage space. The economy class passengers can now stow a large personal item besides one standard roller bag while the business class overhead stowage accommodates two roller bags per passenger.
8. Windows with “polarisation” shades
Travelers who enjoy gazing out the window will be pleased with the extra-wide widows. It’s not just the view but the A350 feels more airy due to its large windows. Additionally the auto-mechanical shades consist of two blinds –sheer and dark that descend and retract at the push of a button.
7. Bump-free floor
In the new arrangement, seat rails and cables are lowered to become invisible and their covers are flush with the carpet – resulting for the first time in a fully flat cabin floor that is easy to walk and roll your luggage over.
6. Green Flying
In reducing emissions across the board, and taking measures to minimize hazardous materials, the A350 proves that its lower environmental impact can also be good for aviation and for green consumers. Airbus brings together the very latest in aerodynamics, design and advanced technologies in the A350 to provide a 25 per cent step-change in fuel efficiency compared to its current long-range competitor. The airliner design favors materials that lower the environmental footprint of the aircraft’s manufacture. Simply put, every tonne of fuel saved means more than 3 tonnes of CO2 avoided.
5. Less Noise
Airbus engineers have developed and improved several functionalities that will be offered as standard on the A350 XWB. These include the Automatic Noise Abatement Departure Procedure (NADP), which optimizes the thrust and flight path to reduce the noise over crowded areas. This means considerably less noise around airports, mitigating noise nuisance in airport surrounds.
4. More Room
Older wide-bodies tapered at the front and back but this placed limitations on seat configuration and made an aircraft feel narrow to passengers as they looked along the cabin. In pure cabin width, the A350 is broader than the A330 that you’ll have travelled on with Qantas or Virgin Australia, and eighteen inches wider than the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The A350 boasts new, extra-wide body panes with near-vertical walls to provide 220-inch fuselage cross-section with generous room in all classes of service. With the maximum interior cross-section, these A350 Family members have five more inches of cabin width than competing aircraft, and accommodate up to 30 additional seats.
3. Air Quality
Contributing to the A350 XWB’s comfort is a high-precision air management system that changes the total cabin air every two to three minutes while ensuring a draft-free environment and homogeneous temperature. Accurate air temperature control is provided in up to eight different temperature control zones through the aircraft for passengers, along with four additional zones for the crew. The A350 XWB also has a lower cabin altitude pressure that contributes to the feeling of well-being, even on the longest-range trips.
2. Wider Seats/ More Legroom
The economy cabin has a nine-abreast configuration, with 18-inch wide seats, while business class has just four seats per row. This allows passengers greater lateral movement and more personal space on long-range flights.
1.In-flight Entertainment and connectivity
The A350 XWB takes in-flight entertainment to a new dimension, being the first jetliner to integrate fourth-generation systems. With individual seat monitors also upgraded to new standards – beginning with screens of up to 12-inch in economy class. In addition, passengers can access other services such as satellite live television broadcasts, safety instructions in their own language, outside live views from landscape cameras, international news or connecting flight information. The integration of the latest generation IFE platforms into the seat preserves passengers’ legroom and also gives them the ability to connect their own personal electronic devices, such as a smart phone, tablet or laptop, to the screen in their seat.
